How to orgplan a trip in 5 steps

1 December 2016

Did you just realize that tomorrow begins the longest bank holiday of the year and you still have nothing planned? Do not panic! We give you some tips to make the most of these days and do not forget anything in the suitcase.

  1. Establish where, what and how

Are you more of cold destinations where the spirit of Christmas has already arrived or, do you prefer a small town in the south to enjoy the warm temperatures? Do you want a quiet plan to disconnect from the routine or your intention is to visit a European city? And most importantly, will you go by car, train or plane? All these questions have to be answered as soon as possible, so the first step is to arrange a meeting with your partner, friends or family to decide which plan best suits your intentions.

  1. Prepare the suitcase

Preparing your luggage can sometimes be stressful and once in your destination you can get to miss some important stuff. Making a list can save you from many troubles and can be made in less than 5 minutes, either on paper or with the Smartphone; so do not be lazy and give it some time. Of course, if you are traveling with children, do not forget that apart from all their complements they will miss their favorite toys. A small backpack can be very useful and they can even carry it.

  1. Choose and organize the right bag

Maps, brochures, the purse, the cosmetic bag, handkerchiefs ... Whenever we go abroad our bag tends to get fat and, although we would like to have the Mary Poppins bag, sometimes we have to prioritize. A tote bag can be a good solution for any trip: if we take it empty we can fold it and store it in the suitcase without bulking and if we start filling it, its great capacity will allow us to save almost everything.

  1. Write down your experiences in a Travel Journal

Every trip is unique and, even if we return to the destination within a few years, the experience will be unrepeatable. Note the adventures that happen every day as a journal, stick the tickets of the museums that you visit or note the expenses of the stay and restaurants. A travel journal will help you and you will have a nice memory of the trip.

  1. Do not forget a good camera

We are in the selfie era, so you can not miss a camera to record the trip. Whether it is the mobile with a self-stick or a compact camera there is no excuse to immortalize every moment. In addition you can then print the photos and create a fantastic album with comments, stickers and accessories to show the trip to family and friends.
